THIS YEAR ONLY!
"MUSIC BOX FOR CHRISTMAS" (45 minutes)
A fictional tale of a young new york city girl caught in the throws of dire circumstances during Christmas. A sick mother, no father, and 2 other younger siblings leaving in a small apartment leaves 16 year old Lucy pressed to find a job "because God certainly isn't going to do anything!" "But who want's to hire a girl, anyway?"
A music box maker, a rich, bitter young woman, and stolen merchandise all play a roll in teaching Lucy that God is in control even when the Light of Christmas seems dimmed by the difficulties of life. The Gospel is clearly presented in this wonderful and touching Christmas play.
EVERY CHRISTMAS!
"PEACE ON EARTH" (15 minutes of music, and 30 minutes of monologue)
The whole Carpenter family will sing the songs of Christmas and prepare the congregation for a visit from one of the Christmas shepherds.
"Josiah" the shepherd will dramatically retell the story of that first Christmas as seen through one of the shepherd's eyes. Exceeding joy, Inescapable fear, and a contrite heart are all a part of this very moving portrayal.
